you know one of the most important things I've learned as a jewelry designer?

it doesn't have to match - but it does have to go!
although it's fun to shop and experiment with different looks, make sure that a few of your new pieces "go" with some the favorite's that you already own. when building your accessories collection, it's smart to choose pieces that can be easily incorporated with looks in your current collection.
it's an awesome way to maximize your mixing and matching potential by taking advantage of the mutitude of choices you have to swag out an outfit by combining unique fun pieces that are different, yet, simliar.
they go!!

Go Shawty(s)! It's Yo Birthday(s)! Vanessa Minnillo & Nick Lachey

First, I have some good news to share with you all (at least the 12 of you all that have visited my blog so far)! I've just appointed myself a new position, and just like that *snap*, I am now a fashion stylist. Although this is not a paid position, I will take it very very seriously, as if I were a stylist working for a prominent fashion magazine. Well hell, let's be real, this is MY blog, and, it is filed under "fashion", so in essence I really am a stylist working for a prominent fashion magazine, err rather blog - whatever, tomato/tomatoe. Surprisingly, on my very first day of duty, I was called to drop in on a very special event last night, as I unexpectantly got the opportunity to attend Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo's joint birthday bash at the ultra grown and sexy plush LAX Nightclub in Las Vegas, using my VIIP status, "VERY IMPORTANT INTERNET PERSON".

So, after "surfing" over to the soiree 1st class, via my DSL high speed connection, the first thing to catch my eye, other than the fact that these two love birds share the same date of birth, was Vanessa in her not so celebration garb and how she did not take advantage of her MAP, "MAXIMUM ACCESSORIZING POTENTIAL". Although she did look stunning in her navy blue sequined above the knee length dress, I noticed that she was missing that statement piece of artwork that would seal the point onto her exclamation!

The "fashion stylist" in me couldn't contain itself, and as you know my specialty is jewelry, so I had to swoop right down in order to save the day. I quickly dabbled through my stash (I always keep one on hand in case of such an emergency) and found the perfect piece to compliment her simple, yet elegant chic style. And, since it was her birthday, I considered it my gift to her, as to not offend her for committing such a serious fashion faux paux. I presented to Vanessa Mannillo, Spiral, from the Beryl Blush Blonde collection. These 14K vermeil gold earrings are thievishly priced at only $39 and make a bold statement as they generously hang a little more than 3” from the earlobe. And although there isn’t a pressing need for any other piece of jewelry, it was her birthday so why not make the crowd swoon by pairing the earrings with this, 18 karat gold ring with apatite, by designer Jennifer Yaun’s Zhen-U.N. collection.

Now that I’ve manage to help homegirl get her act together on her birthday nonetheless, I hope she doesn’t plan on re-gifting, as the holiday season is right around the corner. Anyways whatever you decide to do, Happy Birthday to you both Vanessa & Nick! Hope you had a blast, as did I!

Cherry Popped!

And just like that... I'm no longer a blog virgin. I've had this account going a few months now, but of course like always, I'm usually a day late and a dollar short when it comes to understanding the hype surrounding of all this internet mumble jumble ( ahhh.. sounding just like my grandmother, luv her!). I mean really, I was probably one of the very last people on earth to create a Myspace page and I hate to even admit that I still use Hotmail, while everyone else up to speed has a gmail account (although I'm sure there's something else even more popular and hip out there). Go figure. Well my thing is jewerly, that's what I do. So if someone has a question about JEWELRY, I'm your girl! Even got a website to prove it: http://www.3bjewels.com/

So, I really don't know how this blog is going to evolve, but I do have a pretty good idea of where I want to start. Well, not pretty good, maybe sorta good. Kinda good? Semi good... yeah that's it. Whatever it turns out to be, I can assure you, it will be entertaining & fun(ny). I just wanted to get something down on paper, well err uh, I mean on my screen, or whatever term I should be using, just to get the juices flowing. Pretty soon there'll be all sorts of bells and whistles sounding off around here. Now, let me see....how do I set up a fancy background..? Whew, I see this is going to take all day now, isn't it?

Gotta Go!
